Here's a higher-resolution picture of that fogcutter mug in the postcard. You can also see that there are both brown and green versions of the fogcutter on that shelf. Now Here's a picture of two fogcutter mugs manufactured by Spurlin for the Tahitian Village  What do you all think? The old Sam's drink menu lists the fogcutter as one of their drinks, so it makes sense that they would be selling fogcutter mugs. But were they Spurlin fogcutters? If so, then maybe the signature kneeling tiki mug and bowl were also made by Spurlin. It's an intriguing possibility. Do you know of other companies that manufactured fogcutter mugs? Sabu P.S. Kono - that souvenir photo folder from the Hawaiian Room is priceless. I'm a big fan of those. That artwork on the outside is beautiful. Nice mug and lamp too. |
