Before Duane (Psycho Tiki D) posts his kill from today here are some of mine.

Alameda Antique Fair...I bought this stuff from 2 of my favorite vendors there and 1 random lady ...spent I think $25 or there abouts. Its good to have vendors on your side!

Kahiki, PMP,Labeless Moai, Daga

Bucket and a Suck Em Up w/ Mai Tai recipe on the back (didn't have it)

Didn't really buy too much tiki. A lot of vendors were waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced and not willing to negotiate. But wait to see how Duane cleaned up--he did much, much better than I (as always!)

Huh. Another of those Bud Baird shriner mugs shows up. Doctor Z found one down here in L.A. as well. Bud Baird was the potentate of the lodge in Fresno.

Hey leleliz, I saw that bucket mug today myself, as well as the Moai. I am glad someone here on TC got them!

I hope to run into you guys at the Antique Fair sometime. :) I will drop you a line next time I am going.

Did you see my McPhee velvet painting I picked up today? My girlfriend also found two Turner prints, one with flamingos and one with storks.

For my other finds, I picked up a Skipper Kents Moai, a thin lips Islander from Stockton and a hobbiest mug that looks like it could be somewhere between a totem and a tiki. :)

That vendor is always nice to me. I barely paid anything for them which was a bonus :)

Maybe we should start a thread and post there. It would be nice to meet more TC members out and about...so I knew what you looked like AND of course so I can scope out the competition!

I tried to buy a Turner flamingo print today...the vendor was asking more than I would pay and wouldn't negotiate. Oh well. Then I literally had a flamingo statue in my hand..was turning it over to look at the price when some guy grabbed it out of my hand and said "I just bought that. Thanks" lol
At the time it was still sitting on the shelf..hey I guess it wasn't meant to be!

I saw lots of Skipper Kents and Islander stuff, Trader Dick's, Harvey's and a few random mugs..one vendor had a lot but when he wanted $22 for a Harvey's bucket you can only guess how high the rest of his stuff was priced! I told him I will see all his stuff at the show next month...since it was already 2 and he obviously hadn't sold anything from the display.

Sabu..I saw the Doctor Z thread with that bucket mug after I posted this one...such a random thing to find but at least those shriners held onto the mugs for awhile!

I was able to finally spend a leisurely weekend in the Bay...noting I did drag my little tikihammer and buddy Kevin along with me...

Spent Saturday doing a little shopping in Martinez. After a dealer showed me his "rare" Trader Vic's Redwing Skull mug for $125.00 and his rare speckled Trader Vic's Fogcutter mug with the 1963 date stamp on the bottom for $85.00, I spied these Moai mugs from Tiki Farm made in 2001. Since I already had the others, I bought these. The price was way lower!

Couldn't go to Alameda without a stop at FI!

Had never heard of or been to Tiki Tom's, found it by accident and decided to have dinner there on Saturday night. Great food, don't know about the drinks because I was the DD. Ran into Uncle Fun and bought his Banana Boat and the Derek Yaniger Papa Ubangi Decanters, however these were filled with Uncle Fun's homemade rum! Drank about 1/3 of one at the hotel, whew, strong, strange and wrong, in the right way! Maybe that is why I missed the McPhee velvet today?

Sun Hung Heung San Francisco bucket mug.

Crazy Al mug 1996.

Coco Joe's hapawood tiki lighter.

Westwood tiki lamp.

Have not bought one of these in awhile, but I liked the size and expression on this one, plus no one has painted it.

Nine Islander earring and one Islander black peanut mugs from the same seller. Made me a deal I couldn't refuse!

Like Liz and Cool Manchu, saw lots of overpriced items and very common ones. Still, all in all, it was a good day!

I never came across any earring mugs after I saw you Duane--even the overpriced ones.

It was good to see you and the lady

and that mask is still ugly..even in pictures! lol :)

Yeah, I saw a ton of those earring mugs today. It was still a great day overall, nice weather, good amount of dealers and got to bump into a TC'er without even knowing it. :)

Hey P Tiki D, if you want to sell one of you Islander earring mugs to a guy who still is looking for one, please PM me. Yep, I can't believe that with all the mugs I have, I still don't have some of the more common ones.

A few things turned up over the last month
The crying Tiki candle is a sandalwood scented Moai, in which the wax runs out of it's eyes

Not sure if the peanut was redone, but because of the color, I grabbed it

Strange place for the sticker though!

And probably a lot rarer than the Trader Vic's mugs, 2001 is very old for Tiki Farm mugs.

OK, Mr. NoNaMe - I know I didn't just find these, but I do love seeing them on the cover of Beachbum Berry's book.

Looks like, I'll have to try and find another copy of that book because mine is now ruined because of a spilled drink!

Just send those to me; that will prevent them from reminding you about your ruined book and making you feel bad.

Despite Tikiville's best efforts, I did manage to find some things in the last week:

Two records, a carved tourist tiki, and an unmarked gaping mouth tiki mug (Daga, I assume - the newer, cheaper version).

Hawaiian Inn mug like one on p.10 of Tiki Quest (except of course blue instead of green) $2. Score!!!

Today's finds. 7 Into The Volcano, 2 Bosko and a vintage mug that looks like its from a Japanese restaurant that I haven't had time to research yet. I now have all 10 mug designs from ITV and now brings my total ITV mugs up to 17.. :D :D :D

The drunken/twisted Moai and Kohu-Ole from Bosko's discontinued mugs..

And a few yards of barkcloth fabric that the mugs are sitting on..

Also uploaded a photo showing all 17 ITV mugs on the ITV post today.

I'd like to hear what you find. I have one like it in a green face paint.

I've found a few mugs lately, nothing really note worthy, that I haven't posted about. My best score of the summer was a 75th anniversary Mai Tai glass from Trader Vic's. Got it for 50 cents!
