found this today at an estate sell and Goodwill..paid 25 cent for the big shot glass
all the other goods cost my 5 bucks so i made out like a Tiki bandit

I have a Frankenstein mug (glazed white) that may be the same as yours. A sticker on the bottom says Aldon ACCESSORIES, LTD 1979 N.Y.C. MADE IN U.S.A.

I find that, with the addition of a jaunty paper umbrella, it fits right in with my tiki mugs. :D

Some great finds by everyone. Big Kahuna, looks like you hit the jackpot.

Todays haul. Though the colors on these menus are a lot brigher than the photos show.

Wow, I need to go rest now.. :D :D :D

Woo Hoo! Found this in the A.M. today, and I owe it all to Leleliz and her good luck mojo she passed on to me earlier this week (West Coast helping out the East Coast)!

One jen-u-wine Hawaiian Village tiki mug. It's got a chip on the inner rim, but displays nice. Also the man in charge of glazing must have been on break, because the Hawaiian Village logo got some paint drippage glazed into the back. But hey, for one crisp dollar bill, I am happy.

Good thinking, giving Liz credit. She's just as capable of putting a curse on you!

Very cool, drasticwagon.

That tiki-headed canoe has showed up a few times recently on Tiki Central:

Can you tell us what's printed on the back of that postcard?

Nothing necessarily jaw dropping but enough to keep me happy the past few weeks :)

Sabu- It is a Qantas by air mail post card printed in Australia. It says " The beach of Waikiki, headquarters for the sun loving holiday makers"."Honolulu is another part of call on the Qantas round-world network".

Dewey,

I need to know where you've been shopping :) Either that, or I need to request some of Liz' mojo.

Found This Old New Zealand book at an antique show this past weekend.

An dealer of militaria had this old whale tooth with a KU carved into it. It was beautiful but he wanted 495.00 so I just took a picture. The picture was FREE!

Hey David. The antique show was in Maumee over by Toledo. My dad puts it on for the Maumee Historical Society each year as he runs the Society. He talks me into working security every year. So far I haven't had to tackle any of the little old ladies trying to steal quilts or early american furniture. There were some nice Indian Totems there if you are into that sort of thing. The Ku absolutly appeared to be on a tooth. Definatly not resin. This guy is there every year and he has the best booth by far. All early militaria including indian artifacts and weapons, war of 1812 and civil war stuff. I was chatting with him about the 73rd time I walked by his booth on patrol and after telling him what I was into he pulled a small display case off the wall that had the the tooth in it. I did go back and check on the table while over there and it was gone. I don't think I would have bought it even if it was there though. Something better will come along.

Antique Bamboo side table for my bar.

It has been couple of turbulent weeks, in such, they have effected my ability to go hunting.

Prior to going to the airport this morning, I had my sister drive to a couple of local spots.

I dedicate today's "Tiki Finds" to my nephew Jacob Ryan Baugh 1990-2010...

Coco Joe's Hapawood Menehune couple.

PMP S&P.

Rikiriko Maori candle.

Hawaii tiki Treasure Craft mug.

I have never seen a mini Outrigger bowl made by OMC. This one is marked for Johnny Quong's The Hawaiian Salt Lake City Utah. Does anyone else have one of these?

For size comparison.

Aloha Jacob and later everyone else!

Yes. I have one of the small Outrigger bowls (appox. 4"w x 3"h) and a matching medium bowl from Skipper Kent's. I also have a large Outrigger bowl from the Stockton Islander; I'm hoping to find a large from Skipper Kent's as well to complete the set. The medium OMC Outrigger bowl was also used by Trader Dick's.

OK, so it's not Tiki, but what's tiki with out the rum?

picked these up for a lousy $20 bucks lately !!...tropical couple wall hangings by universal statuary......

I figured the smaller bowls existed, I just wondered how rare one from Johnny Quong's The Hawaiian markings were?

PTD, Condolences on your loss and peace be with you. OGR

Some of my finds today.

scored an Al Harrington mug today

Haven't had much luck in my own neighborhood these days so I went poaching in 8ft Tiki's hunting grounds last weekend and found this fantastic Coco Joe's pipe holder! I'd been hoping to find one for a while now but never expected to see one since I can't imagine they're very common.

Hopefully 8ft will forgive me!

SilverLine - your photographic skills always impress me. And so glad you photographed it with those pipes in place. That looks so swanky. Congrats on the find.

Thanks Sabu! Sometimes I think I collect this stuff JUST so I can photograph it!

anyone know anything about this?

Oooh, nice! Isn't Big Bro the resident expert on Spanish Tiki? Maybe you could PM him the picture to see what he might know.
