Saw the Hawaii carve on Facebook, no better inspiration then sitting under a palm tree on a tropical island! It turned out great! What to say about the Ku? Incredible work! Of course the base is what caught my eye first... sweet Tapa design and great color scheme! The rope puts a nice touch to it all and frames it in nice. Then the details in the tiki... love the jutting lower jaw, like he's standing guard with a "Hhhhhrumppphhh!" Got me all stoked to carve a log now... gotta get my flatwork all done first!
