Counting down the days to The Hukilau, and the opportunity to hit up the Cocktail Kingdom booth for the new Pearl Diver Glasses and Swizzle Cups. Might as well get some use out of the old Swizzle cups from eBay ...

In the cup: The latest and greatest 151 Swizzle tribute recipe (v.4) ...

Man, there certainly are some impressive looking/sounding cocktails on this thread. Keep up the good work everyone!

last night I tried Adam's Boulevardiers, if you like Campari you will love this drink. I like both Campari and bourbon so I really enjoyed this cocktail.

I like that this drink is getting a few outings by the TC folk, I only 'found' it recently but its a firm favourite for me.

Here's a good NY Times article highlighting it :)

Boulvardier :)

1 oz Hamilton Demerara Rum
1 oz Brinley's Shipwreck Coffee Rum
1 oz Homemade Passion Fruit Syrup
(50% Goya Passion Fruit Pulp with 50% Turbinado Simple Syrup)
1/2 oz Unsweetend Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Cinnamon Syrup

Saison de Banc Vert dranks gud...

Had a few drinks tonight;

She had a beer followed by 2 tequila / passionfruit combos with different tequilas.

I had an (unsuccessful) trial of a home bar menu idea, a (successful) riff on the Mai Kai coffee drinks & a Navy Grog.

What about y'all?

Been dying to try out the Dunbar Aramis ring glasses I scored last week, so I whipped up a batch of cinnamon and vanilla syrup this afternoon, and made myself a couple of Pearl Diver Punches before dinner. Whoa! What a drink! That butter/honey/vanilla/cinnamon/allspice batter is a real mess to work with , but it tastes amazing. It only hit 60 degrees here in Wisconsin today, but after drinking a couple of these, it felt like at least 70...

I am drinking my first ever Fogg Cutter. Mmmmmm so good! How come nobody ever told me about this one?

MrBaliHai: Very nice. I love the attention to detail on the straw through the leaf.

wupput: The secret is out. I actually prefer the Fogg to the Fog Cutter. Grogalizer.com users seem to agree. With 24 votes for both drinks, the scores are 7.9 for Fogg Cutter and 7.0 for Fog Cutter.

Speaking of the Grogalizer, tonight I'm working on an old Grog Log drink that didn't appear in Remixed. It will be featured on The Atomic Grog next week as the Cocktail of the Week ...

Beachbum Berry's Tahitian, featuring Barbancourt rum and served in The Hukilau 2013 official mug by Tiki Diablo. Complete with faux lava rock coaster and LED light.

Thanks. I didn't have any of the leaves currently under discussion in the Pearl Diver thread, so I just grabbed the first serrated-edge leaf I could find in my backyard. Apparently, it wasn't poisonous, because I'm still able to post to TC this morning...

Toasting my 2 new tiki mugs from UK based rum & cocktail blog the Floating Rum Shack with a glass of the red stuff:

Made up a these tonight with a light rum, a dark rum, falernum, and grapefruit juice. No garnishes, cuz it was done real quick. My lady threw the glow cubes in just before I snapped the pic and I left it because, hell, I love that kinda stuff. :drink: cheers!

nice- that was the signature cocktail at the Floridan Hotel's Sapphire Room (aka the Surefire Room) back in the 30's and 40's.

I'm on a saison kick- where have these beers been all my life? right now its a Brooklyn Sorachi Ace

A Molokai Mule in our house shaker. Ordered 144 of the damn things. Wearing them out one at a time.

In anticipation of the new symposium by Beachbum Berry and Brian Miller, "Brigands, Barons & Beachcombers: The Many Faces of Planter's Punch," coming to The Hukilau on June 13, I'm launching an updated tribute recipe (revealed here first) ...

The Mai-Kai's Special Planters Punch, now featuring Hamilton 151 rum.

TC is a place for family announcements right?

My little one has gone from this:

We have a family tradition of laying out presents the might before (bar optional):

If you've ever put together one of those cars, you'll be needing one of these afterwards:

Cheers all :)

Tribute to the Mai Kai Zumbie, Atomic Grog

Good one yesterday........

All within walking distance to our hotel (staycation) :)

With The Hukilau just five days away, and in honor of the arrival in Fort Lauderdale today of Christie "Tiki Kiliki" White, it's fitting to mix up Beachbum Berry's Kiliki Cooler ...

Stamford Raffles. Batavia Arrack, Jamaican rum, lime juice, Ango and ginger beer. I only had Jamaican ginger beer on hand and it dominates the drink a bit. Barritt's or even ginger ale would let the Arrack come through more, but definitely worth revisiting.

Making a few cocktails:

Blue Hawaii
Blue Margarita

Saturn
Dons Own Planters

Had myself a Dry Tai - Gin, Campari, orgeat, ginger, lime, ginger bitters.

Heavy night of boozin' with a buddy. We sampled some of my latest acquisitations including Havana Club 3 year white, 7 year, Lemon Hart "original" and spiced, Koloa spiced, Ron Zacapa 23 and XO, then made SOS's, shared a Luau Coconut and Captain Vadrna's Grog with Koloa as recommended on 5 Min of Rum and each ended with a hefty pour of Zacapa XO which is currently my favorite rum of all time. Wish we woulda snapped some pics cuz it was a real nice time.

A Mai-Kai Barrel O' Rum with Appleton 12 for the Dark Rum and topped it with Red Rock Ginger Ale instead of Soda Water.

Had my first Uh Oah! at Trader Sam's. Wanted to have a Nautilus but the bartenders kept screaming. Went upstairs to Tambu & had several Backscratchers. Much nicer vibe plus love all those old huge tikis from the Polynesian of old. Not to dis Sam's but it's almost more Tiki up here..
