In 24 hours my Falernum will be ready and it's Jet Pilot time! Can't wait, it's my favourite Tiki Drink.

Unfortunately I don't have a decent blender :( I have a hand one and a boston shaker. Can I shake instead of blend? If so, how long for? The Mai Tai is 10s but I suppose I need to shake more for a drink designated as 'blend'. Or is my crappy hand blender ok to do the job?

A Lava Punch. The combination of S&C and Campari is freakin' magical.

Don's Special Daiquiri

Pieces of Eight

Grilled up a couple of big fat burgers. Gonna wash em down with Rum Barrels.
Added a dash or two of homemade Jalepeno syrup to my second Rum Barrel. A different drink-quite tasty.
Cheers

I had an Old Elephant Foot IPA. its a fistful of hops punched to yo face.

then I tried out one of these Henry's Hard Soda hard ginger ales. better than plain ginger ale, but still not as good as a ginger beer, fyi...

Last night

drinking a Me Constitution.

(appleton estate v/x, angostua bitters, falernum, and water).

I have to admit, Stiggins’ Fancy lives up to its hype and exceeded my expectations. It's spectacular in a classic Daiquiri, but then what? After much experimentation (note the rapidly declining bottle), I came up with a twist on the Daiquiri with a little bit of heat to spice things up ...

The name and recipe will be unveiled in the next few days in the next Week in Tiki blog post.

Okole maluna!

Sorry about the delay, lots of distractions last week. Here you go ...

Good call Jon. Stay away from the Rum Babalu. Next thing you know you’ll be making em at home.
Cheers

Ray's mistake.

started with an Angry Chair white IPA, followed by a healthy pour of Zaya 12 y.o. (neat), followed by a Bearded Pelican chocolate porter, then a Ballast Point Pineapple Sculpin, and now a Red Hook ESB...

Carthay Circle Ernest Daiquiri!

Hiltiki- looks good
Porp- nice run bruddah
Below- all your pics are awesome

That's the recipe I've been doing. Making it a lot lately. Experimenting with different rums.

Last night had friends over and made lots of drinks. Started with Cobra's Kiss, went on to 151 Swizzles, then Stiggins daiquiris followed by Big Bamboos and a banana Daiquiri and more Stiggins.

Swizzles were the only thing I remembered to photograph.

Wow, these latest entries all look delicious (as usual.)
Skip, I would order one of those drinks almost regardless of the ingredients - beautiful lanterns & glassware!

Currently drinking water, after having a few pints of Highwater Campfire Stout on Nitro. Hopefully we'll have some cocktails to post tomorrow.

David- cheers
Porp- cheers. Thought I'd try more lime n go wild. :)
Bam- cheers

Time to heat it up

A non tiki Herradura silver margarita at El patron, Encino.

And now some Diplomatico, because I'm incorrigible.

Looking back a couple days in this thread, we really need to replenish our Stiggins’ Fancy and try making a daiquiri.
That stuff was so good we just drank it all straight!

T

Thanks bamalamalu.
My wife is a glass nut.
Those drinks crushed us.

Well those and a few more.

The cool thing about making your own lanterns and or picks for your drinks is
you can match colors to glass and make the pick as big or small, short or tall as you need.

Started with a Jet Pilot at my place..

Neighbor had me over for a Cobra's Fang (forgot to take pic)...

Then back at my place made us a coupla Cobra's Kisses..

Calling it a night. These drinks is strong.

U all made me thirsty, again

Me Too! A couple of Pegu Club Cocktails. Hardest part making dis is chilling the glass.
I like em with bitters added. When the rain starts up later I’m gonna use up the last of my Trader Vic’s Kona Coffee liquor on some Mexican Coffees.

Pegu Club cocktail

2 oz. Gin
3/4 oz orange liqueur
1/2 oz lime juice
lime wedge or peel for garnish

Shake and strain into cool martini glass
Some recipes call for a dash of bitters

1/2 oz. falernum
egg white
angostura

dry shake all ingredients, then shake with ice - double strain - top with angostura bitters

The SLS Hotel Pink Lassie!

Spousal unit joined me for a drink. Even picked It out... Colonial Grog.

Round two for me, KO Cooler.

Because the entire concept of alcohol that tastes good is new to me, and I therefore have no sense of quality, I recently made the discovery that Pina Colada mix, Original Bartenders Cocktail brand "I'm Bananas For You", and Amarula makes a pretty amazing fortified milkshake.

Wahine n I out for 5.00 tinis

Dirty n lemon drop

Dirty n Cosmo

Not so dirty

Worst sound ever, slurp of an empty tiki mug through my straw!!!
