I've been able to build on the initial experiment into what's below - upped the spice and balanced a bit more juice against the hoppiness of the lager: 3/4 oz falernum #9 1/2 oz simple syrup 3/4 oz lime 1 oz pineapple juice 12 oz chilled Longboard Be warned - the pineapple makes this foam like mad!

This time I substituted the Pyrat with St. Aubin 1819 Vanilla Rum from Mauritius. Not the best vanilla rum from the island, but the only one I could get at the duty free in the airport. Never cared for it so I occasionally try to mix it into things hoping for an improvement. Then this drink happened and I learned that orgeat, passionfruit, guava, orange and pineapple juice when combined with vanilla rum tastes like.... a banana. It tastes great, despite the strange way I came to this flavor. I may make all my Krakatoas like this from now on.
