Anyone know the background on this place on Pico, just west of the 405 Freeway?

I swear I did not go inside!....not this time. I seem to think there was something like this on Foothill Blvd. near Upland...

It was Kelbo's.

Ha! Comparing this version of the sign to the one in the BOT (which page in the Mixology chapter?, I'm in Palm Springs, sans bible), gives me an idea of a "Before" and "After" series, where I photoshop a smile on the original sign...

Don't go in, it is completely stripped (get the irony?) to the bare black walls.

Twowheelin', tell'em about the glory of Kelbo's!

When it first opened, the place had what it called the "Shipwreck Room", which was part of the old Kelbo's decor and some of the booths intact. The last time I went in there the Shipwreck Room was gone, and that was a good five years ago, maybe more.

i was just in there a month or so ago , and i didnt see anything from its past. i even got escorted out of a room!.this was the killer place on the west side where i had my 21st B-day party, and stole many a wenches virtue after those drinks.when i get really homesick for kelbos, i just go to bahooka which is real close ,except the kelbos booths were separated by heavily carved on beachcomber items.i know i scrawled many a message into the wood in that place!.oh, bahookas food is better!.
