Skoo you have a unique, cool style!

S

Thanks cy. I'm having fun with it....

S

off to his new home

I just looked at all 23 pages of your amazing work and I didn't see our tiki. I saw two similar tikis but I couldn't find ours. Did I miss it? We'd love to see any step by steps you have of ours. I also missed seeing any photos of you. So I'm sharing this one of you with our tiki. Cheers, Wendy

S

thanks for the photo Wendy. I'll search and see if I have a picture of your TiKi in the carving stages. Sometimes I just get going and don't take time to document. I hope that you and Dan enjoy your purchase.

S

sorry, no pix of this guy as he was being carved. Here he is hangin' out at my home TiKi bar "Sweet 808"

Thank you, I saved the photo.

Here are the photos I posted on my thread today.

Sitting along side the treasures Dan found at Marketplace.

It now has a special spot in our family room.

Thank you again for the wonderful tiki, Wendy

thanks for posting those photos Wendy....he looks great in your home!

P

I thought that style was originally by Guanko Milan...

S

could be...I didn't do much research. This one was based on a few photos that I liked.

P

ehh, either way, I dig it...

It's a design I knock off now & then myself,,,

Great shape and carve Skoo!

S

Thanks cy, the flowers were at the request of the customer and remind me a little of the "Laugh In" TV show......not really my thing, but the customer loved it. Got me a little inspired to learn how to carve some tropical flowers though.

Nicely done!

S

thanks Amate

Great composition there.
That turned out nice.

S

Thanks Will carve, it was a fun carve for me.

S

OK, I had to try the palm frond carving.....very basic, but it was fun. I'll try again!

Hay, good for you.
Good start.
Get use to them & they're addicting.
I use a 10 & 11 X-actos.
They eat the X-actos up but,
they sure are nice when they're sharp &
they sure do cut.

Great start. I use the Xactos too - and hook blade.

S

All this X-Acto talk sounds like I'm going to need band-aids too.

Wow! No band aids??? I have practically the entire product line in stock! Sometimes I feel I need to buy some Johnson & Johnson stock to recoup some of my expenses...:)

I had a great time at Tiki Caliente!
It's a wonderful compliment when other TiKi artists like your work.
This TiKi went home with Cindy and Tiki Ray (the old guy on the right is me)

The mean looking' TiKi on the left went home with Tiki-Vato

The mod-marq on the right is on his way up to Oregon with Cy
THANKS AGAIN SEE YA NEXT TIME!
