Sweeet! Nice ink.

That's the coolest new moai art I've seen!

I take that back: that is some of the coolest moai art I've EVER seen.

Whoa! Gracias Robb! You are too good! I really appreciate your support since you are a true master of the "chiaroscuro creepy tiki lighting technique" and a personal inspiration. Your work is truly stunning.

I must confess some of the moais where "borrowed" or "documented" from classic book pictures, bars and paperback covers, but that was part of the whole intention. In my book, to be truly tiki art, it has to be a little fake. The TTT or Tiki Transmission Tradition. My homage to ancient masters of all times and galaxies. Nothing new under the sun...

"The aliens did it"

2010 freestyle ink on paper.

No pencil, eraser, sketching, planning, composition or lightboard tracing technique was used in the making of this masterpiece. One shot. You try doing it, I dare ya'.

I know it's wrong from me to say this but I think this one is great:

"Missionary burning a Polynesian Idol."

A theme not too exploited at all, I've only seen two very old illustrations about it. One from Germany and the other one British... I have them somewhere in my massive tiki archives, I will look for them someday to share with you my beloved fans.

Really nice work Zeta, I love the Spacesuit Moai and I'm still chuckling over "The Aliens Did It."
Fresh and original, I gotta get over here more often.

Gracias Congatiki! I am happy you are one of us superior beings who "get it". Fresh and original, that's my goal. Thank you! :) If you liked "the aliens did it" piece, then you will probably like this one too...

"The space-bird-man"
Bic pen on paper

Although my drawings seem fun, they are dead serious. I do believe in these things. I do believe that aliens visited Easter Island.

AH! "The Aliens Did It" - I've got a design I'm working on that is very similar but very different, too.

Oh well, I'm probably 2-3 years from doing that piece, so I'll just dig yours in the meantime!

"Great minds think alike" Robb, Can't wait to see your painting... Do you really plan your work years ahead? I guess so because you must have a big client waiting list... Hey! I got an idea! I'll trade one of my doodles for one of your paintings. What do you say? Deal?

Haole Jim, you are too nice... thank you! I love doing these drawings, I really do. It's beyond me. compulsive doodler... And of course, I love sharing them and get feedback too! I feed myself from the applause! (take dollars too) I'm an agggggggghtist! So, you keep appreciating them and I'll keep sharing them. deal?

"Caledonian Tabou and PNG mask"

This piece of paper (the back of an outdated calendar) was done somewhere between 2005 and 2007. What I call my "brown period" because I used primarily cardboard and recycled pieces of paper as a canvas for my art. And because sounds important to have "periods" in your artwork. Sound pretentious and art dealers, critics and historians love that f artsy talk. Hopefully, that will bring me some dough, chicks or recognition some day...
