Are you talking about the "depth" of the cuts? or are you looking "deeper" into the why he made his cuts. Its up to the individual to decide. I think he has has carved deep to create a deep carving! You don't need to be that humble, but I agree about the generally high quality of what is posted here. I have spent a lot of time searching the web for carving forums--not just tiki-related---and I haven't found any other one that matches TC. We have a much more active carving community than I've found anywhere else, the high number of views and comments attests to that. Keep 'em coming.

I tried out the new 'Classic Grey' stain from Minwax for the base. It has a weathered look. The blossoms will be detailed after the Spar coat is applied.
