VAMP THAT'S JUST WHAT I THINK OF YOU. THANKS FOR CHEERING ME ON. AFTER TODAY THE SCOOTER NEEDS THE STEERING HANDLES FINISHED/ADDED AND THE ENDS OF THE TUBING ON THE FLOOR FINE TUNED. I'VE BEEN PAINTING WITH A BRUSH WITH ONE HAIR. ON THE SIDE WHITE PANEL THAT FUZZY LINE ACTUALLY SPELLS OUT LAMBRETTA. PHOTOS ARE BLURRY BECAUSE I'M HOLDING THE CAMERA WITH ONE HAND,SORRY.

I WAS SO HAPPY TO BE ASKED TO DO A WORK OF ART FOR THIS SHOW. THE REQUIREMENT WAS FOR THE WORK TO HAVE BOTH TIKI GODS AND A VINTAGE LAMBRETTA MOTOR SCOOTER. I BEGAN THE PAINTING WITH MY RIGHT HAND SINCE I AM RIGHT HANDED. I GOT THIS FAR.

EVERYTHING WAS GOING WELL THEN I FELL HEADFIRST DOWN AN ENTIRE FLIGHT OF STAIRS. I SPENT A LONG TIME IN ER HAVING BRAIN AND NECK SCANS AND ARM XRAYS. THE OUTCOME WAS THAT I BROKE MY RIGHT ARM. I WAS DETERMINED TO FINISH THE PAINTING FOR THIS SHOW SO I USED MY KNEES TO HOLD THE PAINT TUBES SO I COULD OPEN THEM WITH MY LEFT HAND. THEN WITH THE PAINT ON THE PALLET I STARTED TO PAINT LEFTHANDED.

CHANGING TO MY LEFT HAND WORKED. I NOW THINK THAT PAINTING COMES FROM THE BRAIN AND NOT THE HAND. I HAVE FINISHED MY PAINTING IN TIME FOR THE SHOW.

Hope you are going to be all mended up real soon!! Although it looks like you don't really need your right arm anyway as that painting came out really good and what a cool theme!! Great job!!

SNEAKYTIKI, I HAD CARPAL TUNNEL ON THE RIGHT A FEW YEARS AGO AND IT DIDN'T EVEN OCCUR TO ME TO TRY TO PAINT WITH MY LEFT. JUST TRYING TO WRITE A WORD WAS HARD. BUT THIS TIME I HAD A DEADLINE FOR THIS PAINTING SO I JUST SAID WHAT IF THIS IS FOREVER COULD YOU DO IT. I STARTED SLOWLY AND IT GOT EASIER AS I WENT. I'm back and I've been told to type. In 3 weeks I may get to drive again. I've started painting with my right hand, it's good therapy. I go to that twice a week too. Today I finished these two hula girls for the swap that ZeroTiki is running this summer. They are Twins, one naughty and one nice. Can you guess which?

Wendy, glad you're doing better and that you got your shift key back. Now that we know you are gifted with both hands we expect twice as much output from you - you can sculpt with your right hand as you paint with your left!
