when I was down there last time, Will said to me (in regards to the rosewood) "yeah, I was surprised Tom just gave you that big log and didn't want to mess with it"...

I guess there are no more surprises now... lol...

rub some calamine lotion on that shit & get back to work!

H

Sorry to hear all this rosewood drama Will, hope you get carving again soon.

P

maybe Tom pepper-sprayed your logs,,, lol...

I was asked to make an immunity idol
for a group playing survivor.
It's a Royal palm frond.
It's a monster.
I'm gonna keep it simple.

A great start, love the shape. Glad you are back at it Will!

P

lookin' sick bro..

I'll be down soon...

hope you've been scopin' dead palms...

H

OMG.... :)

Nice natural curve to the headdress, gonna be sweet!

Hi Will Carve, you posted a note on my thread so I came here to view your work. I looked at all 55 pages because after starting on page one I couldn't stop.

This was one of my favorites and then on page 53 I found your newer version. WOW!

I also loved the War Club on page 45.

This year we had the pleasure of visiting our friends Benzart and zerostreet in Florida. It would have been fun to meet you too.
I did see you on page 41. I must be a ham because Dan and I are all over our pages on "other crafts".

Keep up the wonderful work, Wendy aka danlovestikis

T

loooking good!

Yep
Out-freekin-standing
U rock Bruddah

Thank you Wendy for such kind words.
Come back soon.
OK.
Imagine walking into your favorite Tiki temple
having total immunity when wearing this pendant.
You'd be untouchable. Every thing would be free.

Killer Will, please sell it to me so I can visit Hale Pele, then stumble over to Trader Vic's, topped off by a yet another free round at the Alibi.

Awesome
Send it to Vegas so I'll be covered at Frankie's

:)

H

This is really a magical pendant and it looks very good too.

Hey Will, remember this? Everytime I walk on my patio I am reminded of you by this awesome mask I got from you several years back at a PNG Swap

Thanks Mike.
It's good to know it lives on
in fine company.

T

super cool, will! love the cording on it!

I'm trying to regain my focus on my war canoe.
These guys need to get their heads together & get their ores in the water.

It looks a little crowded. I know your from SFL - insert inappropriate, overloaded immigrant boat joke here - it might look less crowded by leaving one of the rowers at the dock.

T

SWEET Just in time for Halloween, the Headless Oarsmen!

WOW
Can't wait

I discovered 2 things yesterday.
First,
Coconuts are really EZ to carve,
if you know the trick.
Second,
They're fun to carve.

H

Easy and fun sounds good. I have a whole bunch of painted carved coconuts in my tiki hut. Mine are the touristy cheap ones, I like them anyways. Show us some more pictures please.

Ah yes. The man with an arsenal of tricks up his sleeve. Keep them coming!

Look,
A KU-CO NUT

That's cool

WC

I wonder, if this crew could talk,
if they would be comparing the beating
I've given each of them in the past few weeks.

Thanks for the spy shot Aloha, looks super. Happy Holidays to you both!

That pic is in my dining room.
This carve is testing my resolve.
I set it up on my dining room table for inspiration.
It's the wonder & amazement of it.
I'm amazed I got this much done.
And I wonder how in the world I'll finish it.

P

awesome.

I need to come down and visit soon.. :)

H

When there is a Will there is a way. :)

What an undertaking! Looking amazing so far. I can totally understand how your resolve would be tested on a project like this. Hang in there. It will be just that more outstanding once finished. Wow!

N

Tangoroa! My favorite Tiki god, That looks awesome very creative.

B

C'Mon Will, you Know you are gonna finish it so get to work and quit playing around. Ity looks Awesome so far but it needs to be done!

V

Amazing carvings Will. i love them all. We have some talented carvers here in So. Cal, but you Florida guys are a force to be reckoned with. Thanks for the 58 pages of inspiration. I soaked up every comment and loved it!

Thank you for the kind words Von Tiki.
Will you show us some new carves soon ?

Well I'm done with the carve part on this canoe.
A lil clean up with sand paper &
slap a finish on it & we're good.
So caviler, I make it sound like
10 minutes work.

S

That's fantastic !

Holy Crap Will @@ You have really outdone yourself. Awesome detail on the canoe, working rudder, pivoting till, nicely designed stand with mortise & tenon. Love the burn in his chest. Must be at least 5 feet long? I hope you sell that for a buttload of cash.
