Wow these are great. I love the face and then looking down at the Easter Island birds, well that knocked it out of the park!

It was fun looking back at so many of your carvings. I'm looking forward to your update. Don't submit until you get the upload sentence after the uploading line is there. Once you have both then Submit. Cheers, Wendy

Thanks Wendy, yes I was going too fast

So in my tiki bar I have a “Rapa Nui” cabinet that holds quite a few items, imagine that. Didn’t like the plain drawer pulls and door pulls so I thought I’d start making my own:

Mango Moais and an alligator juniper Birdman:

Still have two more to go!

Little piece I made for Beer Zombie bottle shop here in Las Vegas

AFD2E741-C559-43D1-AD05-3F1C9C241587

Two more Easter island pieces made from alligator juniper.

Two chief bowls also from alligator juniper, one was for the swap.

Ok So I wanted a walking stick, or 4

The first one I made was from a piece of eucalyptus, I trimmed my neighbors tree and kept a few branches:

Green mamba

6AA76F33-3D8A-4E6B-9919-62CAA305FA62

Next was an old fence post I had in my garage, I think it’s pine, this one I wanted a coral snake winding in and out of a piece of Cholla cactus wood:

B8EBB339-5968-4BF0-8851-FB1461DF0847BA2DA533-E281-47E5-8BE7-CA5384A1E71D

One day on a walk, I found this stick on the side of the road, thought it would make a perfect black mamba:

Lastly a piece of ash, they recently cut a tree down in a park by my house and I was lucky enough to obtain all the wood, I wanted to try my hand at painting so I went with a copperhead snake:

The gang: F5F5037A-461F-41DC-B2A9-9699E7C5790C

(Inspiration and tips for the walking sticks obtained from Carver/painter Mike Stinnett.)

PS- did I mention the snake scales took me about an hour an inch to burn in. I think it was about 100 hours per stick! Lol

Next it was time for a little wood-burning, our pups:

Hana & Lulu (say their names together and fast)

So happy to see you catching up on your posts. Beautiful work hang10tiki.

Hi Wendy

A’a from Rurutu

189 hours to finish

That's an over-the-top spectacular multi-tiki work of art. Each little tiki has a personality. It's fun to look at all of your pages and to see how you challenge yourself. This one is a master work. Every one of those hours was worth it.

Thanks Wendy!!

And I’m glad you were able to see him in person. Sorry he wasn’t done yet.
