Jon,

I was just telling my husband about this great idea! I NEED one of these but don't have an old tv around. My brother suggested an old laptop or tablet. Gonna search around....

You need to start frequenting thrift stores and hitting yard sales.
Wear shades and a hoody- nobody will recognize you.

:) :) :) :)

MAN - those last two projects are sooooooooooooo awesome!!

I have an empty skull bottle like that. I think I might have to rip that idea off...

Can't wait to see it

Lots of good ideas for me on shopping and rum intake! Thanks David & Jon!

:)

Jon. You so creative-what you putting in your rum?
Keep it up!

David :)

Ok
Next

Saw a Kraken octopus arm and oversized bottle on Craigslist
The back had a crack in it
It's plastic
So I didn't want to hang it with the fake rum bottle in it
(It's heavier than the octos arm)
So I went with a lightweight plastic light instead
It's an LED color changing glow ball from home Depot

Quick project

Light off

Light on

Cheers all

That's amazing!

The next time I'm in Detroit, I am seriously stealing your octopus arm!

I've been trying to figure out how to do something like that from scratch. You've saved me a lot of effort and false starts. Of course, I've never been closer to Detroit than St. Louis, so you're probably safe for the foreseeable future...

Wow, I thought it came that way. What a cool lamp you have made. This is terrific. Everyone will want one. Wendy

Jeff- thanks, was a fun one
P Pear- :) Glad u like it but I'm in Vegas :)
Wendy- glad u like

Vegas? Oh, that's different then. Been there twice. You'd best be on the lookout!

That Octopus arm look insane! Great job!

Really dig the darker stain on the base of the two big guys, they really pop like that.

Thanks HopeC

Back inside the bar

Moved 48 bottles of Rum up 1 shelf
Not sure why I didn’t do this sooner

Put what was on top, on the bottom

LED strip lights
23.00 for 32 feet
(Amazon)

Liked them so much,
I put them above the kitchen cabinets as well.

Nice! I made a couple of lights out of those skull decanters, took forever to drill through the bottom because the glass was so thick there. This would have been way easier, just hang 'em up with a black light nearby.

Awesome

looks great.. so stealing this idea...
