Will Carve made these awesome tikis which were going to be hung in the bar. But they turned out too nice for outside. I'm afraid they won't hold up in the long run out there.

We didn't have any tiki in the house before now. My wife is not into tiki as much as I am. Our house decor is fairly modern/contemporary. I've been working on building a new saltwater reef aquarium and thought I'd see how they look behind the new tank build. I need something else between them...reef art, tropical photo, maybe floor plant poking from behind the tank in the corner...or maybe I'll try them somewhere else. I'm open to suggestions.

This room is our family room (aka my man cave...it walks out to the Ki'o Wai Lounge area). From a decoration standpoint, I'm feeling constrained by the fact the room is decorated 100% Michigan Wolverines (I'm an alumni). Even the reef aquarium is an odd fit in this room from a cohesiveness standpoint. I guess this is a first world problem...with third world art.

I say put em out there just put them under the roof.
Heck much of this stuff looks best after it ages a bit.

You can do a top clear coat if you are afraid of any weather getting to them.

They are very nice.

Glad you likie.
Perhaps you could follow thru with
a Tikiquarium.
