today i worked on the modern style tiki. i shaped the paua/abalone shells for the eyes and put on a few layers of stain.

"The Discus" after staining twice and varnishing twice.
i stained it normal brown first but changed it to a darker stain.
It makes the eyes really pop out
it looks black but it actually is a very very dark brown, but i guess it doesn't`t matter :).
