All bow to Dagg and the router...

Hey, Dagg! What type of wood did you use for the trim?

Thanks Q-Tiki and Slacks

Big K, that's a good question... I'm pretty sure it's spruce it's labelled as SPF

Ive also used knotty pine for bigger pieces and western red cedar for outside stuff.

Thank you, sir! I've got some trim of my own to do.

I love everything so far but I really dig that floor!

Thanks for posting so many photos of your progress...its really looking awesome!

That door is a work of art. I absolutely love it.

Very cool D! You should be a professional router carver! It really looks amazing, some of the best work I have ever seen.

lol :)

So i picked up this setup last week for smaller more detailed shit, still on the fence whether I like it or not....

I wanted to make some trim for my "Maori wall" so I ripped some 2x4 on the table saw to 1/4" and routed these (with the Ryobi)

And this one using both routers (3" wide by 1/4")

Stained em

and tacked them up, still need to make 4 more small pieces. Blurry..

Thanks for lookin
HAPPY FRIDAY!

I so need to give this routing thing another try!

Holy Moly Dagg, awesome doesn't even begin to describe the routing.

Thanks for sharing!

Again.. thanks so much for the kind words!

Ive been meaning to post an update, so here we go.

Re-working this end of the bar and finally installing the tiles I bought at OA in Dec! still need to tie them.

Gained some space here for (guest) mugs

Made a small fold down table, still need to install it

Made a bunch of signs, some for me some for friends.

Some PNG/Disney inspired trim

working on this currently

Also currently working on a virtual ship in a bottle, loosely based on Traders Sam's

A projected(peppers ghost effect)ship will appear floating in the middle of the large bottle (plastic carboy) and every hour a storm will hit sinking the ship. The audio will trigger lightning effects in the ceiling (old school color organ)
Thats plan A... have a B and C as well just in case
I will post pics of that when the project is farther along..

thats it for now.
Thanks again

Looks amazing! The boat looks great! I like the Disney guys too. Some of those signs look familiar. Keep up the good work! I am interested in seeing the next project.

Your bar is so inspiring, love all the attention to detail and the style. For the last 5 minutes while looking at this thread all I've said is "WOW!"

Very cool routing work Dagg! I was in Trader Vics last night and saw some of the green tiles like you have so nicely displayed. Anyone know how they became popular tiki decor?

GrandMasterDagg- keep up da good work bruddah
