Treasures from my Mother-in-law's attic

Pages: 1 2 replies

The Nor-Cal branch of the family descended on us this past weekend here in So-Cal and we threw a polynesian bash in their honor. My Mother-in-law and her tribe had been quite the social set in their day and she dug through her collection of souvenirs to show me some of her goodies. (I don't get to keep 'em, I just get to look at 'em)

Thought I'd share a few with y'all...

Here's a few matchbooks:

Coral Reef – Sacramento

Tiki Bob’s - San Francisco

Hawaiian Hut - Waikiki

Tahitian Lanai & Papeete Bar - Waikiki

A menu from the Bali Hai on Shelter Island

A pretty beat-up copy of Trader Vic’s Book Of Food And Drink,

But then look inside the cover!!! (This was her mother's)

More to come as the treasures are revealed!
