Imperial China, Framingham Massachusetts May's Special Mai Tai

Pages: 1 2 replies

Always doing research on different takes on the Mai Tai and nine times out of ten, I come across a Chinese restaurant version that is usually top secret. I came across this interesting Mai tai that.looks more like white wine in a wine glass with ice, and a cherry and lime garnish. Supposedly there is a two drink per person maximum. The information that I have gathered is that it's very strong. What i am most curious about, is does this even taste anything close to a Mai Tai. Like even slightly!? Lol.

Has any TC-ers been to this place and have tried the special secret Mai Tai? If so, can you describe the taste?

Here are some images from the internet:

Aloha!

Boy, that looks more like a Pimm's Cup than a Mai Tai. I'd guess there's gold rum in there, and then probably some vodka, but what else is anybody's guess.

Wow - Wish I could help. I've been there and likely had one, but it was a long time ago.
