Info about Best Ever of Japan

Total newbie here asking a question after trying to find the information both off site and on. Can anyone tell me about Best Ever of Japan, especially regarding when they were producing mugs, and what it might be worth? I acquired this one recently (sorry for the lousy pics), and I found the threads here that say Duke's book says it may have been produced for Hawaiian Cottage Restaurant, but no real other info.
