"CARLSBAD – Legend has it that bad luck will come to a tiki thief.

Jon Woidtke hopes that's the case, after thieves stole from his front lawn two 5-foot-tall tikis that he carved himself."

The word is out, an APB has been issued and a dragnet has been set up around the city to catch the tiki thieves. I saw an interview with Jon Woidtke on the 6:00 news tonite. He didn't seem bitter about the theft at all. When asked about it and the bad "mana" that might befall the thieves he calmly replied "I'm not too sure which two tiki gods they are exactly, but I hope at least one is the god of CASTRATION"! You just don't mess with a man's tikis.

Here's some pics of the stolen tikis.

Carlsbad police are investigating the case as a grand theft. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mickey Williams at (760) 931-2151.
