Recently I saw a planter in some peoples' front yard that looked familiar. At home I turned to the (Good) Book of Tiki and saw on page 232 the stack of Tiki-Bachis, and thus confirmed that I had seen one out in the wild. The one I saw had been painted a bright shiny yellow with red highlights and was full of plants. Appropriately he was at the edge of a small Japanese style pond and garden combo. Fortunately he's way out in the country and hopefully safe from hipster thieves. I'd never read the text on the Tiki-bachi box in the photo on pg 232. To spare your eyes: "What a Tiki-Bachi is? ...Just greatest barbecue ever invented- Dats all! Nevah rusts...Always beautiful Hand made...By stoopid low paid natives like myself Uses less charcoal...Pays for self in charcoal savings Built in (patent) charcoal starter (Terrifical!) You going love dis little buggah Sgned Tiki John" |
