This guy is the source for transporting you to retro aloha.

Anyone else listen to him? Falsetto voice.

I mixed a tape of him and the Island-aires (Torrance's Polynesian Restaurant's house band, according to the album sold at the restaurant!). I mixed in some static and short-wave sounds... morse code, etc. Then put the tape in a recreation of a vintage radio.

Makes a PERFECT accesory for a Tiki bar... the old radio playing the old tunes... barely coming in, as if from a remote time and place.

George Kainapau, I tell you... that's the key. A haunting sound.

George is the perfect bookend to Haunani. He is a man that sounds like a woman, she a woman that sounds like a man. I managed to get both on record at the same time. Very confusing!

That's really a cool idea to put in the static and such on the tape.

Actually the tiki bar this was created for is my grandfather's. And it's SERIOUSLY original. It was designed by the same guy who did Don the Beachcomber's
