I had emailed Donny to ask about the above painting Boo Dude posted better then I did and here is his reply "That painting will be in the "Summer of tiki" art show this September in San Francisco at the Shooting gallery curated by Otto of Tiki news. If you're interested in an original piece of work i do commissions. Just really busy right now."

Maybe we can get him to start posting his stuff here?

Hey,
All your shrunken heads look great!
I'm gona try and post some new stuff.
I have a long sleave & T glow in the dark shrunken head Shirt available at:
http://www.luckymule.com
It has voodoo sleaves, a "how to make a shrunken head" instructions on the back.
The glow factor is really well done.

Was wondering how to post jpgs?

Just kidding, but that name would fit me well on Saturdays. I'm usually working on the yard or around the house!

Donny, I love those inked shrunken heads!

Dirty Donny's Shrunken Heads inspired me to break out the ink! These are inked on 7"x11" bristol plate...

Sam, all I can say is wow man these are awesome, I hope that inspiration is still flowing.

You guys got me all inspired to give pen and ink another go. Those shrunken headed freak are my kind of people.
Chongolio

Were any of you at the closing party for the Kahiki?

Nice Fishy, I love that one, its different and really neat.
Here is my latest on carved from Zebra wood

Benz,
Is that nose bone a different piece of wood? You are mastering the the artistry of ugly. Very nice.

B

Yes it is a different piece and type of wood. I put it in before I shrunk his nose.the nose hole was gigantic then. you can see how much it shrunk

Raffertiki and Ben - That is really some great work! Raffertiki, your piece has a "chilling" quality to it, and Ben, that "boneboy" is genuine ugly-cool! That different wood for the bone is an excellent touch. Foamy's piece on the top of the previous page is cool too - It's a Joe Perry (Aerosmith) shrunkenhead!

Thanks Sam. It means a lot.

B

Thanks Raffertiki too did I get dazed by the WitchDoctor? I think I'm gonna have to become the whitch-Doctor. Not sure which one though.

I just thought it was time to bump this thread with a head of my own. I used Pariarts Paul's technique of Sculpy over tin foil. I don't know where I'm gonna keep it, my wife says it gives her the creeps, I call that a success! --KK

I have noooo idea how I missed this topic.. Man was I missin out. This stuff is unreal. It looks like we got a whole tribe of Urban Savages! Heres some flavor that will be showin up on my website BALLSomic.com ...

aloha!
Here are my first shrunken heads, I have carved.
The first one has been carved from massive ash wood. He’s being hung up
on hair made from coco thread. The wood has not been covered.
The size is about 17.71 inch x 6.3 inch.

This head has been crafted from balsa wood. The wood has then been variegated
and then covered with oak coloured beeswax.
The size is about 1.77 inch x 0.79 inch.

And the last shrunken head frame I copied for a TC member.
