Recipe: Aloha Ribs

ALOHA RIBS

4 lb. pork spareribs
1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. water
1 8-oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
1/4 c. minced onion
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. cider vinegar

Cut ribs into serving pieces; arrange in shallow roasting pan.

Cover pan with foil, sealing tightly.

Bake at 375 degrees 1 hour.

Mix brown sugar, cornstarch, celery salt, and ginger; stir in remaining ingredients.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

Drain drippings from baking pan.

Pour sauce over ribs; bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake until tender.

Note: Chicken may be substituted for ribs.

Yield: 6-8 servings.

Thanks. Made up a slab of the Aloha Ribs last night. Mmmmm... they were great.
I drizzled a little guava syrup over them for the last 15 minutes or so, once the foil came off, for a little extra sweetness.
Can't wait to make some more.
