Tahitian Terrace Jungle Julep

I found this recipe in current issue of Disney Magazine:

1/2 cup sugar
5 cups cold water
1/2 cup pineapple juice
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons each: grape juice concentrate
and sweetened orange
powdered drink mix
1 1/2 tablespoons grenadine

In a large pitcher, mix the sugar with the water until it is completely dissolved. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Chill. May be served over ice. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.

The article said Jungle Julep was served at the Tahitian Terrace restaurant, which was open from 1962 to 1993 in Adventureland.
Anybody try this with some rum added?

I found a similar recipe for the mint julips they used to serve in new orleans square....

Would the sweetened orange
powdered drink mix be Tang or something else?
