Just wanted to let everyone know that the Southern California Plumeria Show is this weekend (Sept. 11-12) at Balboa Park in San Diego AND a BIG BAMBOO sale (live bamboo that is) at Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas (www.qbgardens.com) on Saturday the 11th. May call for a TC get-together later at MR. TIKI or some where? [ Edited by: MEAN GENE on 2004-09-09 23:38 ] |

Thanks Mean Gene, I am currently tearing up the back yard to replant a tropical paradise. Some bamboo and plumeria would be just the ticket. |

Thanks for the heads up Mean Gene. We were going out to buy some bamboo this weekend for our yard already. Happy to hear about the sale. Maybe we'll see some fellow TC'ers there. |

Any TCers that show up at either of these events should wear something with a Tiki on it.. Our super-secret phrase will be: "Hey, are you a Tiki Central member?". |

If anyone goes to the plumeria show or the quail gardens I'll be having a booth at the Point Loma Farmer's Market on Saturday from 9 to 1 and on Sunday from 9 to 1 at the La Jolla Farmer's Market. I hope some of you will stop by and say hi, PLEASE!... Email me if anyone needs more details. They're both beautiful areas to hang out in on a day off. Thanks, Gene [ Edited by: MEAN GENE on 2004-09-10 21:29 ] |
