Writer looking for input: Tiki in mainstream culture

I'm writing an article for Retro Radar http://www.retroradar.com/ about Tiki hitting the mainstream. I'd like to get people's perspective/opinions about why they think this is happening. I'd also like to hear examples of mainstream Tiki (like Tiki decor items at Target and the latest season of Survivor). Thanks!
