I have been working on my pool table room for a few weeks now, and would like some input. I have another empty wall where the bar will go, and plenty of room for more stuff. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4ce20b3127cceb7e57d6df8bd0000001010 http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4ce20b3127cceb7e57d43f8930000001610 I apologize in advance if the pictures don't load, I'm a non-specified geek, which means my computer skills are questionable. |

Here you go - I fixed 'em for you. I'm really just a carver and have no talent when it comes to decorating, but there are many home tiki bar fanatics here that I'm sure will have some good advice for you. Good luck. Cheers! Aaron

Tikimomma, Please post more pics of this room as you tikify it. I'm sure we'd all love to see the progress. The pics are easy to insert, you just add some "BBcode" in front of the link, and right after after. Sorry, if I actually type in the code here, it will screw up my message! Try this link: http://www.tikicentral.com/faq.php#embed It explains in detail how to display your photo here on TC (It's pretty easy). Aloha, A-A

There are tons of pictures in TC of the most fantastic tiki rooms and bars ... try the "search" function with "rooms""bars" etc. and you'll find plenty in no time -- Meanwhile, to get you started, here's a particularly nice one: |

Monkeyman gave step by step instructions and photos to install Lauhala matting. the best advice to get started, is just get started ~there's plenty of ideas here at TC. you'll be collecting for years and years, and your room's look will grow.. dont forget to keep updating us with pictures! "newbies" often have the coolest ideas! elicia |

I'd say your really on to something there. However, pool is decidely NOT tiki. Chuck it for something MORE tiki. Like maybe a shuffle board... |

Don't you believe Tiki Bong for a second -- I think a pool table is VERY tiki and would love to have one in my own tiki bar. Keep on track! |

Thanks for the great info. I had the pool table before the tiki stuff and decided that tiki was the only way to go. I have looked with awe and jealousy at the other tiki rooms on the site! Mine has to stay kid-friendly for a few more years until my little one is out of the "let's break it" stage. I forgot to add my "palm trees" Thanks for the feedback! |
