Hi All, My Mac is not hooked up right now, so I can't figure this out myself. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who (A) has a Mac and (B) knows how to get a URL from a picture on a web page so that (C) s/he could write up a Macintosh version of the Uploading and Embedding Images instructions in the FAQ. The "right click" and "Properties" instruction need Mac equivelents. It would be very much appreciated. Hanford [ Edited by: hanford_lemoore on 2004-12-13 14:51 ] |

Simple - go find your image on the web... This will give you the URL (in your address window) you need to copy & paste within the appropriate [ i m g ] & [ / i m g ] tags.... Did that make sense? |

MeanGene, seriously, you should at least go up to 9.2 on your OS. If you're interested, here's where to find some nice, clean bootable OS CDs. Then go here to find the updaters to 9.1 and 9.2: |

I think I'm going to get an e-mac. They seem to be a great value starting at $799 and also a power book for the road. I know it's time to get real. |

Yeah - we have 2 macs at home & I'm still running 9.2 on the old G-4, as my scanner is attached & I don't think it will work on OS X. Too bad - OS X is wonderful.... |

I've got 10.2 on my G4 at home, and I just love it. Neither my old Umax scanner nor printer will work with it, so screw them! I have 9.2 on my old Umax Supermac(mac clone) here at work, but I'll be dissmantling it soon :( Since the PC now has a kick ass scanner and Dreamweaver. Much easier than trying to hand code the entire site, scan fabric, manipulate photos then transferring everything over to the PC anyhow. sigh I was trying to use links like this but I kept adding html attributes so it took me forever to figure out how to properly add a URL that isn't 3 lines long! |

If I thought my scanner would work under OSX I'd update it in a heartbeat... I suppose I could install OSX & try it, and then re-install OS 9.2 if it doesn't.... Wait a pain. I've gotta figure out my new PC too - all I've done is play Half-Life 2 on it. What a waste of money! |

You can also hold down the "control" key as you click the mouse down once on the image. That will open a popup which will allow you to select "open image in another window" from there you can copy and paste the path... sometimes easier than holding the mouse down until the window pops up...
