United States Fund for UNICEF: 2004 Tsunami Relief Fund

UNICEF has mobilized aid in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Maldives, India and Sri Lanka to provide relief from the Sumatra earthquake that touched off a series of tsunamis, killing tens of thousands of people and leaving hundreds of thousands of children and their families in serious jeopardy. Well over 75,000 tons of humanitarian aid is on the way in the form of water supplies, emergency health kits, tarpaulins and tents, school supplies and more.

Check it out ... they need our help , so bid it up Baby ! Get some cool mugs and help out. Up for auction are 1 Red Bug Eyes and one Red Kreepy. Both of these are extremly rare mugs. Bid now and you may be lucky enough to get both of these Ultra Red Tiki Mugs by Munktiki.Yeah....

Congrats to Munktiki for commanding such a high bid and sending it all to help tsunami relief. It is apparent where the quality in your product comes from. Good souls.

I'll second that Unc!

I was the winning bidder for the Munktikis. I was considering how to contribute before the auction, what with all the questions regarding which charities' funds actually reach the victims and not their own administrators. The auction made up my mind for me, and I consider myself lucky at that. Thanks to Munktiki for the donations of the mugs!
P.S. I hope to be at Otto's Shrunken Head Sat night. How do we meet each other?

Congrats, A44 - those are some great mugs. The Kreepy is one of my all time faves from Munktiki. We had already given what we could to relief funds and were bummed to see we could have won these mugs AND still donated. Dang! :(

Cheers to the folks at Munktiki for doing this (and you too, PJ!). You guys (& girls) are the best!

If in doubt, go for the big ones, but if you have time, take a look at some of the smaller charities that can offer specicic aid. Anyway, instead of paying for some more Tiki detritus this month, lets flow some money out to people who were in the right place at the wrong time. Money spent on a mug/print/whatever could give a family a tent to live in.

Ideally, give the money you'd normally spend on crappy non-Tiki items to the various funds. We can all do without something(s) in the coming week.
