The Doll House tiki mug

Pages: 1 2 replies

I found this mug in a local junk shop. My husband remembers this strip club in Hawaii! For him it's one of the more highly prized pieces of tiki we have. However, I've been told by a highly respected and long time tiki collector that it's not a spectacular piece in the collecting world.

What doy you all think?

I'm not sure if I'm respected, but I've been collecting for many years and I like it! Definately unique, plus it has boobs on it.

I don't think I would call it "tiki", The doll house was located in Waikiki and specialized in topless entertainment. It started out as a dive "Korean bar" on the corner of Lewers and Kuhio then moved to as a more "respectable" venue (Not to be confused with Pure Platinum) at Kalakala and Beachwalk. I was too young to get into the original location but had an acquaintance who's sister worked there and danced with tassels. A nice mug though from Daga's golden age. Now if only someone could unearth a Club Hubba Hubba mug I'd be in awe.
