Description:

From the street.

The first entrance with Tiki rail poles.

Looking up at some wonderful A frame carvings. It is also nice that the hangning lamps are still there unlike the apartments on Rosemeade.

A closeup of a section of an A frame carving.

Looking down from the A frame, you get a fine look at the first entry tiki.

Tiki Mail Boxes grace each entrance.

A now non functional fountain that sits just in front of the tall entry tiki.

The second entry.

A shot of one of the second entryway poles.

A detail of said pole.

The interior courtyard. The grounds are amazingly well kept.

The great thing was getting there at sundown and watching the place transform befroe my eyes into a lost polynesian paradise.

Even though the hanging lamps don't work, they are nicely backlit.

Gorgeous. It's amazing to see the amount of detail there, so many just have "Lanai Apts." with little or no decor.

And where exactly is Duarte?

Woo, thanks!

whoah! I never knew there were tiki apartments thats darned cool!

Good job TikiGardener! My office is in Duarte, whodathunk? I'm gonna check it out tomorrow!

I went by this place today, some sad news. The building still stands in its glory, but the one tall tiki just inside the gate

is gone.

And he was such a cooool tiki.

That is a sweet apartment block. Wonder what the residents think?

I stopped by these apartments this morning and was very glad to see that they are still intact.

I don't really have anything to add to TikiGardener's original post except for a photo of the other mailbox.

And some strange gold cats.
