My guess is that many of the people who are into tiki are also into Archie Mcphee - both have an appreciation for the pop cultural items from the past.

There is a great article in today's paper, about Archie Mcphee and its founder, Mark Pahlow. Lots of historical information , thoughts on why people like vintage designs from the past, and little bits of tidbits (i.e. they have sold 1.5 million Devil Duckies)

Archie McPhee rocks! I love the freebies they throw in when you order stuff too...my family & friends were much amused by having Christmas gifts wrapped in bacon wrapping paper...
