The Book of Tiki

I just received The Book Of Tiki from amazon and am very impressed with it. I had to order from amazon as it was not available at any bookstores here in Canada. The book is a masterpiece, I cannot say enough about how well done it is. I recommend all Canadians order it for themselves or as a gift. It will be permanently left on my coffee table. Thanks Sven for all your hard work...you are amazing!

I'm gonna ask Taschen about their Canadian distribution situation, I hope it doesn't have to do with their book catalog containing a lot of sexually liberal titles and the censorship of Canadian customs' porn paranoia...

The book of tiki is available all over the dang place here - I run into it everywhere. As for the 'naughty bits is taboo in canada' situation, thats a big exaggeration, I think. The book of tiki sits proudly alongside plenty of re/search GENITAL PIERCING SPECIAL TORTURAMA! type books at any and every alternative store in Canada...

Maybe the problem is here in Vancouver? I went to 2 different Chapters and there was not one book so i asked the saleslady and she said she would have to make a special order. I guess Vancouver is just not as "hip" as Toronto...oh well...we already knew that. The Virgin records store here stocks Taschen books but not The Book Of Tiki...I think that it would sell really well here, so its a shame. As far as porn goes I think Canada has the worst record for kiddie internet porn in the world. I think that you should suggest to your book distributor that Vancouver Chapters is not being stocked with The Book OF Tiki. Anyhow, the more I look at the book the more pleased I am with it. Everyone should own this book.
