Tappa alternative?

Is there some cheaper alternative to tappa cloth, like a cotton print or something? I would like to try making a set of hanging lamps, but cost is somewhat of an issue.

I'm sorry if this has been asked, but I couldn't find it with Search.

...the stuff is real nice and I'm actually using what remnants I have of the same stuff to make a lamp shade for a ceiling fixture. Hope this is what you're looking!
