I'm going to Raleigh for a weekend of trouble, any cool Tiki in town? Any good thrift store shopping (to look for mugs), good bar, resteraunt suggestions appreciated. Staying Downtown at the Sheraton. |

I lived in Chapel Hill for 5 years (college) but never found any cool tiki things in Raleigh. I haven't been there in 4 years though, so it could have changed. In Chapel Hill, on Franklin Street, there is a sweet vintage store called Time after Time, which has some great stuff. That's all I know of though, sorry! |

I lived in Chapel Hill, Durham and Greensboro. We visit Raleigh/Cary every summer. Never saw anything remotely tiki-ish. If you ever get down to Calabash (near the beach & close to SC) they have a gift store there with tons of mugs by Chiki Tiki...at least they had some until I bought all of them last year. |

I can confirm after having lived here for a decade, there really isn't any tiki around in raleigh. I haven't even found much of anything at yard sales and flea markets. |
