Tiki Gardens Memorial Website Update

Pages: 1 14 replies

Ok, after some frustration with my web editor, ( I found the best way to learn a new program is to just go in and start clicking buttons. )I've managed ( I think ) to update and link the third page of the Scrapbook to the two newest additions.
Go to http://www.exotic-tiki-gardens.com
then click on "Scrapbook" and click your way through the pages. If there is any trouble with the links, please let me know.
Thanks

Ok, I've added a page to the scrapbook that is pretty special to me. Page six of the scrapbook is pretty much what the TGMWS was started for. Namley the presrvation, and discovery of Tiki Gardens info and images.

Thanks to Leanne H. for giving me the oppourtunity to save a little TG history.

Well for some reason, many of they pages of the Memorial are down. I've contacted my Internet provider, but given their past performance, it may be a while before the memorial is back up to 100%.

I really hope I don't have to rebuild it, but it would be a kick in tha pants to do the redesign I've been meaning to do.

Keep up the good work, Scott, a virtual memorial is better than no memorial.

It's amazing that as I live in Madeira Beach and go by the site all the time, looking at these photos is an instant blast back to what Gulf Blvd used to be like. I went by yesterday on the way to Sand Key and thought how the Park's parking lot is nothing more than a spot to rest your car as you try to find public access to the beach because all the Ma and Pop Motels have gone the way of Condos... I think myself and the other Haole Kats should grab some ukes and have a small memorial in the parking lot.. That idea makes me feel better already !!!! Many mahalos for your endeavor....

Do you see anything when you visit this link?

I'm trying to see if it's me, or the site.

Page not found....

Thanks...

Cool site

Its even nicer when all the pages are viewable!

Ok, after some time recovering from building my wifes website

http://home.earthlink.net/~alinasdesigns/jalina.htm

featuring all the clothing she has done that is responsible for the decline of western civilization. Well thats what one uptight old lady siad on a San Diego tv station when commenting about some of the work she did for a well known and hated pop star.

ANYWAYS,,,, I put up a page that explains some of the Tiki Gardens Memorials earthlink technical difficulties, and links to still funcioning pages. Also to be found is a link to archive.org. They have a fair amount of the website archived. Unfortunately its mostly the text of the site. But some photos and links have survived.I'll be dedicating myself to the long and arduous task of rebuilding the site after I get back from a little vacation to more tropical climes.

Tell you wife I said that her designs are very cool even if she is responsible for the decline of western civilization. If it makes her feel better I will take half the blame for the decline as well.

One suggestion. The use of really hot models. This is for my own pleasure of course.

mine as well!

Well,
Its not perfect, but I've begun the long process of rebuilding the Tiki Gardens Memorial Website. I've redone the In Memory of Trader Franks pages, and moved them to the front of the site. They transfer into pages that use the text from the old map pages.

I'm going to add pages that detail the varying facets of Tiki Gardens. But thats in development now.

The layout of these pages will probably stay similar, with the following pages bearing more of a resemblance to the old memorial.

Just stopping in to say I just viewed the memorial, and saw I was visitor 40001.

While its not much in the world of the web, but its far more than I ever expected to visit the site.

One of these days I'll get around to completely revamping the site. Life has precluded this idea, but one of these days...

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by.
