Gambino in the news

Congratulations to Sam Gambino, who was featured Sunday in an article in the Mobile Register, which I assume must be one of the finer newspapers in the state of Alabama. Further proof that you don't have to live in California to appreciate tiki!

You've got to love an article that starts out with the words 'Tiki fever struck Sam Gambino' and ends with the words 'You couldn't find a better guy'

Wow I never knew so much about anyone from TC like I now know about Sam. I live in Mich. Sam, where exactly were you from.

Good ol' Sam's Getting around. Way to go Sam. Super article. Did you have to Pay them? HaHa
Sam, it couldn't happen to a better guy.

Congratulations Sam. Very nice bio/background on you. Keep up the good work.

That article was great. Now there is another name to add to the list of famous people i havent met yet..

Congrats Sam.

Thanks for the very kind words ikitnrev, teaKEY, Ben, Dimethios and rodeotiki. I hadn't seen it on the web until today. I was really pleased with the writeup that Casandra Andrews did. She was really kind to work with too. Her husband is a tiki freak. By the way, I did mention Tikicentral too, but it got into a caption under one of the pics which are not included on the web version of the article.

Hey TeaKEY, I'm from Lincoln Park just south of Detroit. Where are you from there? It's nice to meet a fellow Michigander...

Nice article. It's neat to learn something about you besides what we all see on TC. Congrats!

it's cool to see one of our own in the news. you deserve it, sam!!! you paint some great stuff anyone should be proud to display. i only hope i can someday soon. keep up the great work!!

Great article. I'm from L.A. as well and love the area. I grew up in Pensacola and PCB - can not believe the amount of growth in that area. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the very kind words, finkdaddy, Tiki 5-0 and AlohaStation.

AlohaStation, the area really is growing fast, but it's still pretty fine. I haven't really been into P'Cola since Ivan came through, but I've heard it's rebounding well.

Excellent article!

It's nice to see a Michigan connection in the news that isn't about a serial killer or mad bomber. :)

Good luck with the show.

Congrats Sam

Thanks much, AA, Monkeyman and Shipwreckjoey.

It's a great article Sam!
Glad to know your a fellow Zep fan as well.
Always loved your work and look forward to hangin out with ya next month.
Unga

Thanks, Unga. Yeah, there's nothing like a good ol' Zep tune!

Also, I'm not going to be able to make the show. I do plan on attending in the future, though.
