I just ran across this site by a famous WOod carver Chris Pye and he offers several wood carving lessons free to download Here

Looks like they are "Teasers" with offer to sell the password for further reading which when you go to the page for the password, you find it is no longer for sale but available free for the asking!
There is ECELLENT Information here...

Bummer, it's for PC.
Anybody know how to read those .exe on a Mac???

Unfortunately, according to their faq's, the files are Only for PC's. They think the latest version of the mac os might oen the files tho.
Sorry. Find oomeone with a PC you can borrow.
I agee the Mac is Superior to the PC but this is one of the weaknesses of the Mac.

digging further into this wealth of knowledge, I find that you can subscribe to the newsletter and get all the past newsletters just by downloading them. There is more in-depth information here than I can read in a few long weeks or months. And it's All Free, though Mr pye does recomend a donation to your favorite charity if you are so moved.
You can also participate in his monthly newsletters if you wish.
This is amazing reading for All us carvers who wish to expand our knowledge.
