Pittsburgher going to Hukilau 2002

Hey folks,

I'm a child of the '60s and'70s who appreciates the presence of this website.

I was wondering if any others from Pittsburgh are planning to head south to Atlanta in July for this shindig?

Since Pittsburgh doesn't have much anymore in the way of tiki culture, I gotta go where it is.

I hope to meet some nice people over this July weekend. It would be nice to talk tiki with others, as well as chat about other topics (green stamps; colored anondized (sp?) aluminum glasses and the beauty of the Seattle Space Needle.

Welcome, Tikitommy! There are a few big events that go on, so keep your eyes here. In addition to this summer's Hukilau, there is also the Tiki News' gathering in Palm Springs the weekend of June 21. (Probably a lot harder for you to make that one!) And then out here in SF we are scheming Tiki Bar Crawl III for sometime next year. (Crawl II, in February, drew a hundred people.)

I myself am scheming on how to make it out there for Hukilau... hope to meet up with you!
