history channel show on moai

watched a history channel show on easter island - pretty interesting. they showed how island archaeologists found that the moai's had coral eyes-they look pretty cool with the peepers!

I watched it. The Birdman contest was interesting.
They stopped carving the Moai and started carving a different figure. One showing prominent ribs and spine. It's the same one at the Mai Kai in Fla. Starvation was common when the Europeans arrived in the 16th century. Very interesting.

the hungry wuzeled feller was evil lookin - i liked how they think the moai "walked" across the island

What was the name of the program? I would like to see if they plan to rebroadcast it.

yeah there was a post a couple of months ago and it waas on then too. I taped it, good stuff. THeir is even a motion picture movie about the whole thing called Rapa Nui. I loved the movie (rented from Hollywood video) but some may not like it. BUt if you like what you saw yesterday, you will love the movie.
