Hey everyone, what would be better to use on my bar top- plexi-glass or regular glass? I know plexi-glass would scratch and glass would also eventually. Any suggestions for my bar top would greatly aprrecaited, thanks guys.

We used bamboo planking on ours. Similar to hard wood floor planks. Nice accent with bamboo poles and/or thatch.

I'm partial to tile, but given the choice of glass or plexi, I wold go for the glass.

We are going with 1/4" plate glass because it's cheaper than Lexan. Lexan doesn't yellow and scratch very easily, but Plexi-glass does.

I used 2 part resin epoxy. pour it on and whamo.....

Between the two, get yourself Tempered Glass. Plexi scratches up way to easily.

Well, since I ma going to install Lauhala matting on the top of the bar then also put stickers, postcards, pics, ect on the top I am still a little puzzled to what to use. I like the idea of glass, but not sure how to do and were as water or drinks will spill thru the glass, any suggestions my fellow tikis. Thanks, i love you guys and this site. Oh my wife just gave a firepit to put in the backyard for my birthday, yeah.
