Anyone heard this LP? Apparently it's coming out soon as one of those Japanese paper sleeve releases. |

Definitely a "must have" Martin Denny album. The title track was composed by Robert Drasnin and it was arranged by both Robert Drasnin and Bob Florence. It is Exotica music with a Latin flavor. I highly recommend it. I am sure the CD release will sound spectacular. The stereo copy on vinyl is difficult to find but worth seeking out. Cheers and Mahalo, |

CD Universe (whom I'm not too familiar with) has it listed as a preorder for February 27: As does Dusty Groove -- although they are not taking orders just yet, you can have them email you when info for said title gets updated. Cheers, |

Dusty Groove is where I saw the "upcoming" notice. I believe they carry the other ones as well. Has anyone had any experience with these "paper sleeve" Martin Denny releases? Is there some point to the paper sleeve? I once got a Japanese CD of the "Green Hornet" soundtrack and it was just mastered from an LP and I didn't think it was done that well. Just curious. |

$34.29 for a CD that's probably mastered from an LP and for which no royalties will probably be paid! yikes. |

Just got my copy today! It is fantastic. Definately not mastered from an LP, it has great solic quality and the packaging really makes you feel like you are holding a mini version of the LP! I highly recommend it. Got mine from CD Universe. |

Damn, $30 for this one album on CD. Boy, those Japanese imports are pricey. I would stick to finding a mint copy on vinyl which can be had between $10-$15 tops! Or you can probably find this on the internet free by now, but it's just not as fun. My two cents worth! Cheers and Mahalo, |

This one is also currently available for download at: http://rockovergraceland.blogspot.com/2006/03/i-spent-to-much-on-this-import-cd-so.html FWIW, I didn't really get too enthused over this one. Cheers, [ Edited by: gwenners 2006-03-08 09:38 ] |
