San Francisco art gallery The Shooting Gallery (Home of Tiki Art Now I & II) is presenting a new group show of portraits of artists. They would appear to all be topless, and our own Miles is on the list.

Kooch-E-Koo indeed!

Are you on some sort of naked artist event mailing list, Martiki?

This thread is useless without pictures...

Sadly, he is not one of the naked artists pictured on the postcard.

You will have to go to see it in person. You'll also be able to see the tattoo on his chest of a huge heart with the words "Ray Buhen" written in it.

I used to model for artists in Los Angeles, I have had the profound honor of sitting for Michael Hussar and Kevin Llewellyn, in addition to our own Miles Thompson. It was truly fascinating to get to see them paint, they are absolutely unbelievable artists. Sitting is actually a surprisingly demanding exercise -- you must sit perfectly still, with your eyes fixed on a single point, for hours and hours, only taking the occasional five minute break. In my experience, the artists are extraordinarily grateful to have the assistance, they know how uncomfortable it can be to expose yourself that way to total strangers, and I was always treated with the utmost honor and respect.
