Lifting the velvet curtain

...so I have seen some great velvet paintings on eBay, posted here, at Hula's, and elsewhere... that while looking 'like' they were done by Leetag, were probably copies of some sort.

This leads me to believe there might be a source for fun and appropriately Tiki/Hawaiiana themed kitchy art for our Tiki bars...

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks, I did try to search and didn't find anything about a source.

Leetag's a copy of Leeteg

Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!

If you're buddies with Los Straitjackets, they had their own portraits painted on black velvet for an album cover a few years ago by a guy a coupla hours south of TJ. Get them to tell you who/where. VERY reasonable price.

The ultimate gift, I should think: the person's portrait on black velvet.
And how fun would that be to have yourself painted as a sexy, half-naked island wahine (or kane)!
"Wow, Formikahini - that sexy, half-naked island wahine hanging looks just like YOU, except she has dark skin and dark hair! What a coincidence!"
