The Polynesians on CD.

While browsing through my local Tower Records I came across two Laserlight Cd’s, pretty cheap ($6) but cool packaging and no artist information on the outside. I bought both and discovered when I got home and loaded them up into Itunes that they were all songs by The Polynesians. I found some links on tiki central about this group for those that are interested.

The Cd’s I picked up are called “Hawaiian Tiki Room” and “Big Hawaiian Luau.” Itunes has a bunch of their albums from Crown Records for download too.

I'm not quite sure how to post images here yet, so if you want to see images of the CDs check out
for Hawaiian Tiki Room

and Big Hawaiian Luau at

Really cool stuff!

aloha and welcome to TC!

thank you for the information regarding the polynesians on CD. I love their records, but having them on CD too would be nice (I have recorded many of my records, but have yet to get to my hawaiian collection)

Mahalo!

Yes, iTunes also has several albums by the Polynesians, most of which are NOT on CD as far as I can find - a pretty good find!

I picked up a 4 CD set from costco that had those two albums, plus Kealoha Kono's Sounds Of Hawaii and another CD called Greetings From Hawaii. Not sure who the performers are on the last one. I had never tried playing the CDs on the computer so I never knew who the artists were. The Kealoha Kono CD was the only one that had a name attached to it. Thanks for the tip on the Polynesians stuff on iTunes. There are quite a few albums there!

Mahalo for posting this. I love The Polynesians. They remind of a Hawaiian version of the Sons of the Pioneers. Must be that steel guitar. Anyway, I have a lot of their albums, but nothing on CD so thanks again.

Well done! This type of discovery is most welcome.
