Okay, "addude" is over here trying to buy a Shag set for at least $610 dollars, an average price of $122 a mug

Meanwhile, he is over here trying to sell one for which his top price is $41. More importantly, if you have been paying attention, you know that this is the fourth or fifth time he has listed this mug, usually with a starting price of $99 and no takers.

It leves me with a few questions;

one - I assume he will break up the set, somehow that seems sad.

two - Just how high do you think his reserve is?

three - although some mugs have gone as high as $260 in the last few months, they average at about $130 and often sell for less, so where did he get his MBA?

I think he's using that "new math"!

ho! whats up wit dat? ya dats dat new math ya! you'll probubly be discusted wen you here dis! but i gon rub it in anyway, i bought my mugs between $18 and $22 last year from my friend that owns "Hot Lava " in point loma cali. go check out her shop she get lots of nice tings fo da tiki bar! da only reason she did that is cuz I sold her tiki's cheap.... told ya you would be pissed!

T

Gecko, you got those mugs cheap because of all the good mana around you! Anybody that can turn out great artifacts like you has the tiki gods on their side.

I'm thinking addude wants a full set of Shag mugs, but he now has the single mug. He's getting rid of the double in anticipation of winning the set. Just my hunch.

What does a Shag AKU-KU decanter set go for these days?(mine is #94 )Does the number effect the value?

OK, my hunch was wrong. This guy really can't do the math! He wins the set for $610.00 and then what does he do?

His mode is to relist and relist and relist until he gets his price. That seems like a lot of work for 89-139 dollars. Meanwhile BigBro's went for $445, so he may be waiting for a while.

My mistake, it onnly took 3 tries, but it looks like he stands to make at least $140.

but he still can't get anyone to jump in at $99 for this one. (He's been relisting for 2 months)

Well, once ebay gets their cut of the take, he's probably down to about $100. And if the buyer uses PayPal, then there's even more out of the pie. But if you're the business type,any profit is better than none, I guess!
