The tropics is now full but fear not Tikiphiles, I have arranged for
comparable lodging at two mid-century hotels nearby
Both hotels are requesting a Fri/Sat booking
Both hotels are run by super nice folks
advantage is that you will be staying with fellow Tiki Oasis
attendees (after hours pool parties?)

Terrazzo (which will not be a gay-only hotel for our weekend May

Terrazzo has twelve rooms and was booked with Tiki Oasis revelers
last year who all had good things to say

L'Horizon has 22 rooms of varying sizes - their standard rooms are
$135 with King bed; $155 with kitchenette

they are offering 25% off for Thurs and/or Sun if you book Fri/Sat

There are other hotels to be had at a cheaper rate, especially via
internet booking. But if anyone has booked into Howard Johnsons I
highly advise you to cancel and rebook at Motel 6 or Travel Lodge
(both nearby tropics). HJ is scummy!

Open call for a roommate, here! Any gal(s) (or guy friend that I know) need a roomie for Friday and Saturday night? I'm singing with one of the bands playing, this aMAZing new exotica group called CLOUSEAUX, which I was just about to tell everyone here about. Then I find out they're playing Oasis - then that they need a new gal singer! I auditioned/joined/performed last night. We got a fire-eater, even!!!

Please email me if you can give me a spot in your room, anyone (nice!), obviously, to split the cost. I so loved being on-site last time.

The wifey and I are going. Her folks have a pad in Palm Springs but we'll be milling around the Tropics all weekend.
Otto was cool enough to give me an hour to play my thirft store records. Please come by and listen and say aloha(not sure exactly when yet).

L'Horizon's web site says Adults Only.
I am assuming my wee tike wouldn't be welcome? The horror.......
